Benchmarking Stadium Sound Pressure Levels
When you’re challenged to specify and deliver a system which will actually protect everyone who uses the facility, there can only be one way to determine the benchmarks – Acoustic measurements under the most extreme anticipated conditions of usage.
In a stadium ‘extreme’ means maximum capacity that is boisterously excited by the drama of a big game.
It is under those conditions that PEL measures the DB/SPL levels during a ‘full house’ main match-day event to determine the target SPL and STI benchmarks to be achieved. These factors are essential contributors to the CAD modelling process.
An example of one of our recent projects, at Celtic FC PEL Sound Technicians planned for these measurements to be collected on a sold-out European Champions League game.
