The OPTiMAL range has been designed to provide the highest levels of performance in three key areas, intruder detection, false alarm immunity and anti-mask protection. The Optimal range complies with EN-50131-1 Grade 2 & 3 and provides a comprehensive product line-up suitable for any applications.


Each model utilises our high performance Passive Infrared (PIR) technology as its platform and uses several patented technologies.

Easy installation


To provide for a faster and error free installation the Optimal range is fitted with on-board selectable resistors compatible with popular control panel specifications. The simple slide in/out PCB mounting also system makes final fixing even easier and avoids lost mounting screws.

Grade 3 Anti-mask Requirements


The Optimal AM (PIR) utilise Active Infrared (AIR) anti-masking technology, often the preferred method of detecting the actual presence of a masking attempt/material. Optimal automatically optimises the anti-masking technology to match any changing environmental conditions allowing the sensor retain high performance levels at all times. The range/sensitivity of the Anti-mask detection can also be adjusted manually to provide the correct level of protection for any application or environment. To prevent tampering Optimal features a front cover and wall back tamper to provide protection against detector re-orientation or removal from the wall and a look down zone to prevent attack from below.

Trouble/fault outputs


The Optimal range self monitors its technology and detection ability. Should a problem be detected the sensor can provide various indications. A mask detection can be signalled via either the dedicated trouble relay or, if selected, via both the alarm and trouble relay together. Other features include:
