Up on the roof...
PEL Services is now working on the installation third phase of this new public address and voice alarm (PA / VA) system for Celtic FC. While the team were away at Astana for pre-season European qualification UCL duties, PEL permanently installed the first of the main loudspeakers up into the stadium canopy, all without disrupting the event activities of the stadium and just in time for the new 2016/17 SPL (Scottish Premier League) season!
Celtic FC's Sound System Installation - Phase Three in Pictures
Now we see the Electro-Voice EVH and EVF Loudspeakers, which have been temporarily arrayed at pitch-side during the 2015/16 season, now starting to be raised up into their permanent housings to achieve full design-performance effectiveness, and restore sight-lines for advertising digital signage. The Phase One & Two system work has already improved output quality throughout the stadium, notwithstanding the plans to address bowl loudspeaker types and configuration in this, Phase Three.
Celtic is the top football club in Scotland and its stadium, Celtic Park in Glasgow, regularly hosts big European matches to a maximum capacity crowd of 61,000. The stadium not only hosts football matches, but also daily activities in the hospitality suite.
Phase Three builds on the previous works to modernise this crucial safety electronic system, with carefully-planned, therefore minimal disruption to the calendar, as well as manageable budgeting of the significant capital investment:
