About Us - Music, Sound and Planned Equipment Ltd
PEL has built solid expertise across a unique range of electronic engineering capabilities, originally based upon ambient music and Public Address systems, now including top-accredited Fire Alarms, IP-based Security systems and AV enhancements.
Over 35 years PEL Services have been instrumental in developing Voice Alarm/Evacuation and Refuge Call, where our mastery of Sound integrates with applications in Fire, Security and Assistive Technologies, the essential FM services, delivered flexibly and reliably.
Since 2010 Audio Visual installations have become the latest addition to PEL's portfolio of experience enhancement, combined with solid technical delivery.
We still LOVE Music too!
SOUND - From PEL's origins in music, it was a simple step to add Public Address (PA) to the high quality systems that PEL had originally installed for controllable music broadcast. Due to the comprehensive and superior loudspeaker coverage typically offered by its systems, PEL became synonymous with excellent quality public address announcements.
PEL had commenced life as the UK franchisee for 'Muzak', the world's largest ambient music supplier. The Muzak Corporation insisted upon strict audio engineering standards across its worldwide network.
This heritage has established an ethos, which PEL applies as a benchmark for every project we undertake.
SAFE - From PA to emergency PA and then to voice evacuation alarm (VA) was also a natural progression for PEL. Encouraged by the London District Surveyors Association (LDSA) and The London Fire Brigade, PEL worked with Arup Acoustics in 1984 to produce the first comprehensive ‘Fire Detection linked Voice Alarm’ specification for the orderly evacuation of multi storey buildings.
In 2010, PEL Services expanded their Music and Media division by forming a new audio visual department that focused on multi-media customer experiences and in-store entertainment systems.
PEL Services Limited is profitable (Dunn & Bradstreet rates the Company 1A) and operates throughout the UK and Eire.
